This instrument was backcaptured in accordance with section 36 of the Legislative Instruments Act 2003.

These regulations are also taken to be made under the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Defence-related Claims) Act 1988 (the DRCA), by virtue of transitional provisions in the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Legislation Amendment (Defence Force) Act 2017. The Minster for Veterans’ Affairs is responsible for administering the DRCA.

For application, saving and transitional provisions relating to the repeal of these regulations, see sections 33 to 35 of the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation Regulations 2019.
